Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
By inviting The RPG Chronicler bot to your Discord server or using the web dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.
2. Intellectual Property and Copyright
The RPG Chronicler is a system-agnostic tool designed to process user-generated audio and text. You retain all ownership rights to the original content of your RPG sessions.
You agree not to use The RPG Chronicler to process or distribute copyrighted material from published rulebooks, adventure modules, or other proprietary works unless you have the explicit legal right to do so under Fair Use or a specific license. The RPG Chronicler is not pre-loaded with copyrighted rulebooks and generates all narrative output originally based solely on your session transcripts.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the bot to:
- Record individuals without their explicit consent. (It is the responsibility of the Server Owner/DM to ensure all participants are aware the bot is listening).
- Generate hate speech, illegal content, or excessively graphic non-fictional violence.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or attack the bot infrastructure.
4. AI Limitations
The RPG Chronicler utilizes Generative AI. While we strive for accuracy, AI can occasionally "hallucinate" or misinterpret context. We are not liable for any discrepancies, errors, or fictional omissions in your session recaps. The DM holds the ultimate truth of the campaign.
5. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
